A brilliant performance by our senior footballers saw them come from 10 points down away to Cuala to earn a well deserved draw in the championship. Well done to all concerned. The replay will take place at home over the next few weeks and we expect all club members to be there. Our under 14 camogie girls have reached the championship semi final after defeating Féile champions Raheny in a great game. We had camogie wins also for our under 8, 11, 12 and 15 teams. Well done girls. A sincere thank you to the DAA for sponsoring our Community Field on Saturday. It was a fabulous occasion. Next Saturday is one of our busiest days of the year as we host the Ladies Football All Ireland 7’s. With over 100 teams this is a major undertaking. Would the usual helpers please talk to Frank Lynch? No club games will take place on the clubhouse pitches on the day and we also ask that teams with away games meet in Carrickhill. We send our very best wishes to Cliodhna O’Connor, Denise Masterson and the “Jackies” who take on Cork in the All Ireland final on Sunday. It would be nice to see the Brendan Martin cup back in the club on Sunday night. Good luck also to former club player Maeve Redmond who lines out for New York in the Junior final. Our senior hurlers have a crucial league game at home to Parnells on Sunday morning at 10.30. We ask all club members to please come along and encourage the lads. Our minor footballers are also in championship action at home. Our Club Lotto continues each week and we ask all members to support this vital aspect of club finance.
