Recent and Upcoming Games – Well done to our minor footballers who defeated Whitehall in the championship on Sunday morning. This was a vital win and it sets up an exciting encounter away to neighbours St. Sylvester’s in 2 weeks. It was a busy week for our under 14 girls with both the Ladies football team and the camogie team recording impressive championship victories. Our minor ladies football team defeated Na Fianna to reach the championship semi final. Our under 14 boys football team defeated Clontarf while the under 13 drew. Our minor hurlers are in action next Sunday morning at home at 11 against Thomas Davis in the championship.

Congratulations to the “Dubs ” on making it 3 in a row and good luck to Kathleen Colreavy and the “Jackies” next Sunday in the final.

Ladies Sevens – Next Saturday, we host the Ladies Football All Ireland 7s tournament. All pitches at the Club will be in use all day. Home fixtures will take place on the School pitch and Carrickhill. All the usual helpers will be required, contact Frank Lynch.

Community and Family Day – Sunday 1 October –The Club will be holding a Community and Family Day on Sunday 1 October.  The event is being very kindly sponsored by Dublin Airport. Details of the events that will be taking place in the Club will be announced later on this week.

Club Lotto – What Would You Do With €3,550 Tax Free – Members are requested to continue supporting the Club Lotto which is a vital part of the funding of the Club’s continued development. The next Club Lotto draw will take place on Sunday 17 September in the Club Bar for a Tax Free Jackpot of €3,550and the chance to win one of three “Lucky Dip” Prizes of €50. Play online at https://naomhmearnog.ie/club-information/club-lotto/or in the Club Bar.

Monday Night is Trad Night in the Club Bar – Every Monday night there is a Traditional Irish Music Session in the Club Bar from around 9:30 or so. The music is excellent and a wide spread of musical instruments are played by the 15 to 20 musicians that take part in the Session. All musicians and non-musicians are welcome and admission is free!

Naomh Mearnóg Academy – The Naomh Mearnóg Academy for girls and boys runs on Saturday mornings up to June 2018 (excluding bank holidays). As we are hosting the Ladies Sevens on Saturday 23 September and the Gaelic4Mothers&Others National Blitz on Saturday 14 October the Academy will be run on the Friday evening from 6 pm instead. The Academy is for boys and girls aged 4 to 7 years old and it is the perfect induction for all those budding future stars of Dublin GAA!! The Camogie Academy runs from 9:45 am to 10:30 am and the Ladies Football Academy runs from 10:30 am to 11:15 am. The Boys Football and Hurling Academy then runs from 11:30 am up to 12:30 pm. The cost of the Academy membership is only €70 for one child and €80 for 2 or more children from the same family. To register for the Academy please go to
