Recent Deaths- Last weekend, our Club and our Community suffered a grievous loss with the death of Limerick born Joe Reale. Joe served the club as a player, administrator and in later years a member of the much respected “Groundforce” group. An absolute gentleman, he was a giant of a man in every sense of the word. We extend our deepest sympathies to his wife Eileen, his sons Damian, Ciaran and Patrick and to his entire family. May Joe’s Soul Rest in Peace.
We also extend our sympathy to the family of Dessie Nugent who died recently. May his Soul Rest in Peace.
Games- Well done to our junior footballers who recorded an impressive win over Ballyboden in the championship.
Our minor hurlers continued their good form with a win over Naomh Barróg.
Good luck to Eoin Dunne who continues to impress with the Dublin squad. Eoin is a fine player and is certainly one to watch for the future. This team is managed by Conor Mohan and Diarmuid Slattery.
We had wins also for our under 15 boys football team and our under 14 girls.
It’s hurling championship this weekend with our seniors away to Kevin’s on Saturday evening while our juniors travel to Skerries on Sunday afternoon.
We wish to remind all mentors that there will be extensive disruption to traffic on Sunday afternoon due to the international Cycle Race.
Congratulations to the Dublin under 21 football team on winning the All Ireland title.
