Club Notes

May 21, 2018

Congratulations to our under 15 boys football team who won their Shield after an impressive victory over St. Maurs in a high scoring game. This talented group are managed by Barry Mulligan, Paul McRory, Harry Dunne and Gerry Cottell. Thanks also to senior footballers Aodhán Fee and Jamie Storey who have helped coach this group.

Well done to our senior footballers who travelled to Raheny on Saturday evening and came away with two valuable league points after a great display. We play St. Pat’s of Palmerstown at home on Wednesday evening at 7-15.

Our Ladies football Féile team put on a great display over the weekend to reach the final unbeaten. Unfortunately they lost out to Parnells by the narrowest of margins. Thank you to Declan and the entire squad. Thanks also to those who helped in the hosting of the event on Saturday.

Our junior hurlers drew with Trinity Gaels and it was good to see club stalwart Jack Hughes back in management action after some repairs.

It was nice to see Laura and Miriam Twomey in action for the Leinster team in the interprovincial camogie tournament in the club on Sunday.

Congratulations to the girls from St. Marnocks school who won the Fingal Schools football league

Our Govan Jolliffe Byrne tournament takes place on Saturday the 2nd of June. We will needs all the usual helpers for stewarding and car parking.

Congratulations to Ciaran Waters and Elaine Deasy who got married recently.

We extend our sympathy to the Lynch family on the death of Frank’s mother Mary. Frank is of course a former club chairman (twice) and remains an active participant in all club activity. May Mary’s Soul Rest in Peace
