“Stirctly Mearnog”- Congratulations and thank you to all who were involved in any way with our “Strictly Mearnóg” fundraiser which took place in the Club’s Function Hall on Saturday night. It was an absolutely fantastic occasion. Well done to the overall winners Mary Ann May and Sean Whelan and a special word of thanks to celebrity judges Kim Walters and Eamonn Fennell. A full report on the event will appear later in the week on our website.
Games -Our Minor and Under 15 footballers continued their good form with each recording an impressive league win during the week.
We wish a speedy recovery to Michael O’Donoghue who suffered a bad hand injury in our senior hurling championship game at the weekend.
The adult football championship commences this weekend. Our Seniors play St Judes on Saturday evening at 5:15 pm and our Juniors are away to Round Towers Lusk on Sunday morning at 11 am.
Tomorrow night (Tuesday) our Senior Camogie team has a vital league game at home against Na Fianna. Please support all our teams.
Well done to Miriam Twomey who was selected on the Leinster Camogie team to take part in Gael Linn Inter provincial tournament.
It was nice to see Cliodhna O’Connor and Denise Masterson back in flying form for the “Jackies” in the Ladies Football League Final. This particular result didn’t go their way but we are all looking forward to a long interesting summer of ladies football.
