Club Notes

June 5, 2018

Our 3rd annual Govan Joliffe-Byrne under 13 football tournament took place on Saturday in glorious sunshine. With 16 teams from all over the country, this was a wonderful occasion. After a great days football, St. Pats Donabate won the shield and Douglas of Cork were crowned cup champions. Once again this was a magnificently organised event and we thank the huge number of people whose efforts made this possible.

Our AHL 3 team defeated Clontarf on Wednesday by the narrowest of margins to gain 2 very valuable league points. Our AHL7 team had an impressive win over St. Maurs, The under 15 hurlers were also victorious.

Our senior footballers are back in action on Wednesday with an important league fixture away to Fingal Ravens at 7-30.

Please support your teams. Details of our Summer camps are now available from club coach David Sweeney or from any member of our juvenile committee.

The Jack O’Donnell Charity Cycle in aid of Crumlin Childrens Hospital takes place between 7-10th of June. See details on home page.

Our 20th annual Golf Classic takes place on the 20th of July. Details are available from Michael Hannon.

We extend our sympathy to the Tyrrell family on the death of Mossey’s wife Margaret. Her sons Brian and Liam both played for the club. May Margaret’s Soul Rest in Peace.
