Club Notes

June 30, 2014

Another very good week on the playing pitches produced wins for our senior and AFL 5 footballers.

Our camogie girls made 3 out of 3 in the cup.

We had wins also for our Under 8 and 9 boys. Afterwards, this group had a Barbecue and we thank John Fahy of Smyth’s Butchers for sponsoring the  food.

Our senior hurlers have championship on Wednesday evening away to Setanta and a vital league game away to Ballyboden on Saturday evening. Our junior hurlers have 2 home games this week on Thursday and Sunday afternoon.

Planning for the annual fundraising cycle (SOCKS) in memory of Frances Tobin has already started. Precise details will be available shortly.

Well done to the Dublin Ladies and Mens football teams on reaching their respective Leinster finals. Tickets for the mens game must be ordered immediately from Dan Linehan.

Our annual Golf Classic takes place on Thursday This year, the winners will receive the Joe Reale Perpetual Trophy in memory of our good friend and longtime organiser of this event.

On Saturday the 12th of July, we are hosting an Inter County camogie Blitz.

Members are requested to visit our new website www.naomhmearnog.ie and to take part in our survey.
