Mearnóg Super 8’s – The Mearnóg Super 8’s takes place this Saturday (4 August) starting at2pm. This is an internal 7 a side football tournament made up of players from our minor, junior and senior teams. The event runs from 2 until 6 and there will be refreshments and a BBQ afterwards. All are welcome.

Recent and Upcoming Games – Well done to our senior footballers who had an impressive league win over Clontarf on Saturday evening. The lads are in action again away to O’Tooles on Wednesday night at 7:15. With 3 games remaining, a promotion play-off place is still possible. Congratulations to Gráinne Skelton and Sophie Brennan who were on the Dublin under 16 camogie team that defeated Kilkenny and now advance to the All-Ireland semi-final. We wish a speedy recovery to Miriam Twomey who suffered a knee injury recently. Well done to the Dublin ladies football team who have qualified for the All Ireland quarter final where they will play Kerry.

Dublin Match Tickets – Tickets ordered for the Dublin Roscommon game can be collected on Thursday night. As Dublin are already in the semi-final, tickets for this game can be ordered now from Dan Linehan by fully paid up club members.

Ladies Football Sevens and Gaelic4Mothers&Others Tournaments – Please note that we will host the All Ireland Ladies Football Sevens on the 15th of September and we have the Gaelic4Mothers&Others event on the 6th of October. All pitches at the Club will be in use on both days.

STARCAMP – Calling all boys and girls aged between 4 and 12 years old……Starcamp takes place in Naomh Mearnóg this summer from 13 – 17 AugustSummer fun, camp games, singing, dancing, acting and confidence building have always been the staple ingredients behind the infamous, award winning camp experience that is STARCAMP. Now you can add news reporting, interviewing, band practise, superhero masterclasses, art and crafts and this year, they are introducing a touch of magic for all those budding magicians. Naomh Mearnóg Summer Camps – Our Summer Camps continue this week with the High Performance Academy for players on the Club’s Under 10 to Under 16 teams in all codes. Leading guest and club coaches will provide coaching sessions and workshops on key player development areas. The last Camp is the Mearnog Camp 2 (including a pre-school camp for girls and boys who will be starting school in September) which runs from 20 to 24 August.
