February 8, 2016
Despite the horrible weather, this was a very busy weekend for our juvenile boys football teams.
Our under 9s “invaded” St. Brigid’s where we had 5 teams playing hurling and football against the home side. Our under 13s had an impressive win over a talented Naomh Baróg side. The under 15s made it 2 wins in a row after a hard fought victory over Round Towers Clondalkin. The under 12, 14 and 16 teams were also in action and put on fine displays.
Our senior footballers had a very worthwhile friendly against Fingallians while our minors played neighbours Trinity Gaels in preparation for the coming season.
Well done to Shane Carthy who put in a fine “shift” for the Dubs on Saturday night in their victory over Mayo.
Congratulations to Cian Hendricken who has made the Dublin under 21 hurling squad for the coming season.
Due to the continuing awful weather, pitches remain in terrible condition. Mentors are asked to please adhere to the weekly pitch updates.
All membership fees are now due and must be paid immediately.
Our Gala Ball takes place on the 12th of March. Tickets are available from Jim Carroll or from Eamonn in the bar. This is a one off event to help us celebrate our 40th anniversary. We guarantee a night to remember. Ticket numbers are limited. Don’t delay, get yours now.
The club Lotto jackpot is now over €4,000 and must be won. The draw takes place each Sunday night. Please ensure that you always have a ticket.
The adult playing season commences shortly and we wish all teams and mentors the best of luck.
We wish to remind mentors and players to ensure that dressing rooms and cars are securely locked at all times. Nets and flags must also be returned to their correct storage area.
