Club Notes
February 28, 2017
We would like to remind all members that the update meeting for the Black + Amber plan takes place this Friday the 3rd of March in the club at 8pm. All members are asked to attend this important briefing.
We had another exceptionally busy weekend on the playing fields. The under 9 footballers beat Sylvester’s, the under 10 camogie group finished a 6 week indoor tournament unbeaten, the under 14 camogie girls had an impressive victory over St. Vincent’s while the under 14 ladies football team defeated Round Towers Clondalkin. The minor footballers drew their first league game. The adults mens football leagues commence this weekend. On Sunday our seniors and AFL5 teams are both pitted against Round Towers Clondalkin. The senior team is away at 10-30 while the AFL5 team is at home at 12. The minor hurlers are away to Oliver Plunketts on Sunday at 11am. The minor ladies football team is also in league action at home on Saturday at 3pm.
The level of support for all our teams on match days remains disappointingly low. Could we please make a determined effort to improve that this Season. Get yourself a woolly hat and a scarf and you are ready for anything.
All membership fees are now due and must be paid immediately. If anyone is experiencing difficulties paying it, please talk to Michael Hannon in confidence.
Congratulations to Aishling Fallon and Peter Collins who were married at the weekend. Aishling played camogie with the club for many years.
