Club Notes

February 16, 2015

Congratulations to our under 21 footballers who were crowned champions on Saturday after a fine win over Na Fianna in the final. Despite a shaky opening few minutes, the lads soon got to grips with their task and played some fantastic football. At the end of the game, team captain Conor Dillon proudly accepted the trophy on behalf of his squad and it was back to the club for some well deserved celebrations. Well done to all the lads and a special word of thanks to the management team of Dave Killeen, Dave Storey, Tadgh Dennehy, Michael Shorthall, Frank O’Daly and to team Medics Joan and James O’Connor. We wish a speedy recovery to Gabriel Dennehy who suffered a shoulder injury during the game.

Our senior hurlers played out a entertaining draw against St. Sylvesters in the cup. This was our first competitive game under new manager David Kennedy and most of the squad got an opportunity to demonstrate their skills.

Our under 14 footballers continued their good run with another win. This is our Féile team and they are certainly in good form at the moment. Hopefully, this will continue throughout the year.

Well done to club camogie players Sarah Brennan, Aoibhe Dillon, Lauren Delaney, Ciara Holland and Emma Ford who have all made the Dublin under 16 panel for 2015. We wish them well in their Leinster and All Ireland campaigns.

Good luck to our adult football teams who start their league campaigns at the weekend. The seniors are away to Erin’s Isle at 10 30 on Sunday morning while the second team are at home at 12 against Garristown
