Club Notes
February 1, 2016
The boys juvenile Season commenced at the weekend and we had impressive wins for our under 16 and under 15 football teams. The under 16s defeated St. Brigids with fine performances from Connor Ryan, Sergio Ganaza and Dylan McCarthy. The under 15s got the better of St. Margaret’s in a hard fought away game.
Thank you to David (Dotsy) O’Callaghan who presented the medals to our successful junior hurlers on Friday night. He obviously benefited from his trip to the seaside as he had a fine game for the Dublin hurlers on Saturday night.
Congratulations to Portmarnock Community school who won the junior Camogie Shield last week. This team is made up of mainly club players.
Well done to Rebecca Cooke and Sophie Brennan who have been selected on the Dublin under 14 Ladies football panel and to Ciara Holland who is on the under 16 panel.
As part of their Mental Health Awareness Week, Portmarnock Community School is organising a Darkness into Light Walk on Wednesday morning. This is a community event and all are invited to meet at the school at 7 10. The group will then walk to the beach in time for sunrise.
