Club Notes

August 15, 2016

Congratulations to our junior hurlers who have reached the championship semi final after a tough battle with Oliver Plunketts E R. This game was neck and neck all the way until a late goal by Stephen Price turned the tide in our favour. It’s been a good year so far for this squad and hopefully it continues.

Well done also to our under 14 hurlers who won a mid week top of the table clash with Erin Go Bragh. This was an outstanding performance by a very talented group of hurlers.

Our senior footballers have a vital league game next Saturday evening away to St. Anne’s. We need support for this very important fixture..

Well done to camogie star Laura Walsh who put on a great display for the Dublin junior team in their recent game against Roscommon. Laura is one of our young stars and she certainly has a bright future in the game.

Congratulations to the Dublin ladies football team who have reached the All Ireland semi final where they will play Cora Staunton.

Our Barn Dance takes place on the 16th of September. Tickets for this very enjoyable event are available from Andrew Crean Lynch or from Eamon in the bar.

Another session of the club’s Operation Transformation commences shortly. Contact Michael Hannon for details.

On behalf of everybody at our club we would like to congratulate Gary and Paul O’Donovan on their wonderful achievement at the Olympics. Their proud uncle Peter has been a club mentor for many years and cousins Sean and Roisín play for the club.
