Club Notes

April 22, 2019

Our adult hurlers including the minors had a very useful and entertaining 7 a side Blitz on Saturday. The group retired to the club function room afterwards for a BBQ and light refreshments. This was a superb idea and great credit is due to the organisers.

Good luck to Conor Archer who starts for the Dublin minor footballers this Tuesday night in their opening championship game. Conor is a talented hurler and footballer and deserves this opportunity.

We have 4 vital fixtures during this week. On Tues at 7pm at home our senior camogie girls play St. Vincent’s B in a crucial league game. On Wednesday our minor footballers (Boys) entertain Whitehall at home at 7pm in the league while our adult ladies football team travel to Thomas Davis for a league game at 7. On Friday night we expect all members to travel to Balgriffin where our senior footballers take on Erin’s Isle in the championship at 7-30.

Our Easter Camps begin this week on Tuesday at 10am. You can go along and register on the morning.

Our under 15 hurlers continued their good run. However on this occasion they didn’t have to expend much energy as they received a walkover from St. Peregrines.

People who come to the club will see that work on our Sand Based pitch is progressing well. Please remember that the pitch area and surrounds is a construction site and no admission is permitted.

Congratulations to all our members who made their Confirmation recently.

Dreams do come true and our Club Lotto Jackpot of almost €10,000 was won at the weekend. Please remember to support this vital element of club finance.

It was good to see a large number of young people complete our recent Child Protection course before they embark on various coaching duties within the club.
