We extend our good wishes to Cliodhna O’Connor who has announced her retirement recently. Cliodhna was one of the best goalkeepers ever seen in ladies football winning All Ireland and All Star awards. She is currently a member of our senior hurling management group. Thanks for the memories.
A superb weekend for our adult footballers saw victories for our seniors and juniors. On Saturday evening our seniors hosted St. Peregrines. After a tough battle, our lads earned 2 valuable league points. We send our best wishes to Andrew Killeen who suffered a shoulder injury late in the game.
On Sunday morning, our AFL5 team made the short trip to Innisfails for a vital game. In a cracking game, they won by 3 points. Our under 16 footballers had a very impressive win over Clontarf in the first round of the championship. They play Ballyboden next.
Our Féile camogie girls were in action in St. Olaf’s over the weekend. This is a very young team and they put on a great show.
Well done to all our teams.
On Saturday the 25th, we host the Ladies football Féile. Another busy week of fixtures lies ahead. Our adult ladies football team are in action tonight (Wednesday) at home to Ballyboden in the league. On Saturday evening, our senior hurlers are away to Oliver Plunketts, while on Sunday our junior team are at home to Crokes.
Our first Golf Society outing of the year on Friday was a great success. Well done to all involved.
