Gala Ball review

The Gala ball was an absolute great success and as you can see from the attached link, the people who attended had a fantastic time.

The club would like to thank the Gala Ball’s Organising Committee (Jim Carroll, Gilda Doyle, Kate Moran, Tina McCullagh and Tim Maher), the many members of the Club’s Groundforce Team, Eamon Cosgrove and the bar staff and other members who worked so hard to make the night such a highly enjoyable night for all of our members and friends who attended the Ball.

Many thanks also like to thank the Shelbourne Hotel’s resident crooner Seán Boland who acted as MC on the night, the chefs and staff from Kay’s Kitchen for the wonderful meal and the band who with Seán entertained us well into the early hours.

The club would also like to thank Sean Shanley (Chairman of the Dublin County Board) for attending the Ball and for presenting awards to Patsy Haran, Noel McKenna and Jackie Hughes for their 40 years of service to the Club. Patsy, Noel and Jackie were on the original Executive Committee that set up the Club 40 years ago and have continued to be involved in the activities of the Club to this day.

It was great to have Siobhan O’Donnell and Maura Cassidy from Dublin Airport with us on the night and we would like to thank Dublin Airport for their continued and very generous sponsorship of the Club.

It was truly a night that will remain in the memory for quite some time to come.
