Fantastic day at the Paddy McConnell Memorial Cup

We had a very special day in the club last Saturday with the hosting of the inaugural Paddy McConnell Memorial Cup.

The evening had everything you would want – great atmosphere among the supporters, face painting and activities for the kids, an entertaining (!) game of football, a cracking BBQ and a few celebratory drinks to cap it all off.

At the end of the game, “Dublin” captain Joe McGowan accepted the trophy from Bronagh McConnell and the Dublin team are already looking forward to defending their title next year!

Thanks to all who supported this charity fundraiser in memory of our colleague Paddy McConnell. An amazing €4500 was raised for The Nurses for Night Care Charity, every cent of which will go straight to the charity for much needed services. Again thanks to all involved and all the very generous donations, see you next year!
