Club Notes

September 7, 2015

Well done to our minor hurlers who defeated Rialto Gaels in the first round of the championship. We had impressive championship wins also for our under 16 hurlers and under 16 camogie girls. The under 13 hurlers defeated Faughs in the league on Friday night. Well done to all teams. It’s championship time also for the senior camogie girls who start their campaign with a home game against St. Vincent’s tomorrow night (Tuesday) at 6 30pm. The senior hurlers have a vital league game away to Parnells on Saturday evening, while the juniors are at home on Sunday afternoon.

Next Saturday, we are hosting an inter county camogie Blitz. All pitches at the club will be in use between 1 and 5 30.

Congratulations to the organisers of our Barn Dance and our Family Day. It was a wonderful weekend for the club and the place was alive with social activity.

Our Nursery resumes on Saturday morning. Contact Paddy Gorey for details.

Well done to the Dublin Mens and Ladies football teams who have reached their respective All Ireland finals. A fantastic achievement. Don’t forget that if you are not going to those games, you can come along and watch them on our big screens in the club.

The annual All Ireland Ladies football 7s take place in the club on Saturday the 26th of September. Please be aware that all pitches at the club will be in use all day. Teams meeting for away games are asked to meet in Carrickhill.
