Club Notes

September 5, 2016

Well done to the under 16 camogie girls who had a fine start to their championship campaign with an away win against Raheny. We had wins also for our under 13 and 15 hurlers and our under 16 footballers.

We have 3 vital home games this week. On Tuesday night our senior camogie girls play Ballinteer. A win will see us in the championship semi final. On Saturday evening, our senior hurlers have a must win league game against Setanta and on Sunday morning our minor footballers play Raheny in the first round of the championship. Our junior hurlers are away to St. Brendan’s on Sunday also. A win will consolidate their position towards the top of the league. We need support for all teams.

Next Saturday the 10th, we are hosting an Inter county camogie Blitz and on the 24th we have the ladies football All Ireland 7s.

Our Club Academy also resumes next Saturday. This is for 4 to 7 year old boys and girls. Contact Paddy Gorey for details.

The club is raffling two tickets for the All Ireland Football final. Raffle tickets cost €5 and are available from Eamonn in the Bar.

We have our Barn Dance on the 16th and on the 17th we have our Family Fun Day. Tickets for the All Ireland football final must be ordered from Dan Linehan by next Saturday night at the latest.

We extend our sympathy the Bradley family on the death of Brenda. Brenda was a hard working member of our camogie section and the club in general for many years. May Her Soul Rest in Peace
