It certainly was the weekend of draws.
Our junior hurlers, senior camogie girls and under 16 footballers all drew their respective matches.
The hurlers remain on top of their league with 2 games remaining after a tough contest against Ballinteer. Trips to Clontarf and Cuala await.
The camogie girls have qualified for the shield semi final after their encounter with Plunketts.
The under 16 footballers put on a fine display in their game against table toppers Lucan.
Our minor footballers made in 2 championship wins in a row with an impressive display against Na. Piarsaigh.
The under 15 camogie girls have qualified for a home championship semi final next weekend after defeating Skerries.
Our senior footballers are in championship action next Saturday evening away to Thomas Davis at 5 30pm.
The Intermediate hurling championship final is scheduled for the 11th of October in Parnell Park where our opponents will be either Castleknock or St. Judes. All club members are requested to support the team.
A sincere thank you to all the helpers who were involved with the All Ireland Ladies 7s. Once again everything ran smoothly and we had a great day. Thank you also to the members of “Groundforce” who were involved in preparing the pitches for the entire week. Well done to our own very young team who performed very well throughout the day.
Commiserations to the Dublin Ladies who despite a gallant effort came up short once again against Cork,one of the greatest sports teams ever seen. Thank you to all our young players and mentors who went along to support the girls.
Demand for All Weather slots is resuming. Would the Chairpersons of the various sections please submit their teams requirements to Wille Fallon immediately. The new schedule will reflect the requirements for the 2016 season.
