Well done to our senior camogie girls who put in a mighty display against reigning champions St. Vincent’s in the championship semi final. We eventually succumbed to a more experienced team but the girls can be very proud of themselves.
Our under 12 hurlers had an impressive win over O’Tooles. We had victories also for Under 9 camogie and hurling team and also our under 11 camogie girls.
Thank you to all who helped run the All Ireland ladies football 7s, another great day. Well done to our own very young team who battled well all day.
Commiserations to the Dublin ladies football team who once again had to play “second fiddle” to Cork. Almost 200 young players from the club enjoyed the day in Croke Park. Let’s not forget that human error is part of life. However, structures must exist to correct such errors.
Good luck to the Dublin men in their replay against Mayo on Saturday evening. If you are not going to the game, you are welcome to come along and watch it in the club where the “craic” will be mighty.
Work on the new All Weather schedule is taking place at the moment. Teams are requested to use their existing slots for the moment. Priority will be give to teams still involved in serious competition.
The arrival of the bad weather means that pitches are starting to get soft. Mentors are asked not to do any physical training on any playing surfaces.
