Club Notes

September 10, 2014

Well done to our under 15 hurlers who put on an outstanding display away to Faughs to reach the championship final. Their opponents will be Raheny. This dedicated team also recently won the under 15 football league and were presented with their medals by county chairman Andy Kettle. They commence their football championship campaign at home on Sunday morning against Clanna Gael/Fontenoy.

We had wins also for our under 14 and 17 ladies football teams. In camogie our under 14s and under 8s drew while our under 9s won. The under 13 footballers travelled to Kerry where they played in the Paidi O’Shea tournament. Our AFL5 team defeated Naomh Baróg at home on Sunday morning.

On Saturday our senior hurlers have a vital league game away to Erin’s Isle at 5 15 pm . On Sunday morning our Junior camogie girls play their cup final at home against Faughs. Please support all our teams.

Next Saturday we are hosting an inter county hurling Blitz. All adult pitches at the club will be tied up from 10am until 2.30pm.

The 3rd annual SOCKS fundraising cycle also takes place on Saturday next. Participants will cycle from Monaghan to Dublin and that night there will be a “celebration” in the club with a raffle for very valuable prizes. Please support this worthy cause.
