Well done to our under 13 footballers and our under 11 camogie girls who both recorded impressive wins at the weekend. The defeated Na Fianna while the girls travelled to Ballinteer and won their 2 games.
A number of our young players represented Dublin recently in the various hurling blitzes. Congratulations to Chris Farrelly under 17, Mark Phelan under 16 and to Dara O’Boyle and Shane Kavanagh under 15. With this level of talent available, the future of hurling looks very bright in the club.
We have a number of vital fixtures this week. Among them are, our senior footballers are away to St. Anne’s on Saturday evening, while our minor hurlers commence their championship campaign away to Faughs on Sunday morning.
Congratulations to Cliodhna O’Connor and Denise Masterson who helped the Dublin ladies football team reach the All Ireland final where they will face Cork or Armagh on the 28th of September. All club members are asked to go along and support the girls.
Social hurling resumes on the 8th at 9pm. All are welcome to this very enjoyable activity. So please come along.
On Saturday the 13th, we are hosting an inter county camogie blitz and on Saturday the 27th we have the All Ireland ladies football 7’s competition.
If you are not going to the All Ireland hurling final next Sunday, why not come along to the club and watch it on our big screens. Finger food will be available.
All outstanding membership fees must be paid immediately. If you are fees are unpaid, you can no longer play for your team.
We extend our sympathy to the Hoban family on the death of Mick’s mother Marie. May Her Soul Rest in Peace.
