Recent and Upcoming Games – Well done to our senior footballers who have qualified for the B championship semi-final after their win against St. Peregrines. Our opponents will be Ballyboden in what is a home fixture. Congratulations also to our under 14 camogie girls who have reached the Shield final and to our under 15 boys football team who despite going 10 points down at one stage came back to defeat St. Mary’s to reach the Shield semi-final.

Our adult hurlers play Kilmacud Crokes in a must-win league game at home on Saturday. Throw in is at 5 pm and the team needs your support.

Community and Family Day – Sunday 1 October – Many thanks to everyone who was involved in organizing the Club’s Community Family Day on Sunday.  It was a great success and we had large number of people of all ages in attendance.   Many thanks also to Dublin Airport who very kindly sponsored the event and to the Dublin Ladies Footballers who were in attendance with the Brendan Martin Cup.

Club Lotto – Imagine What You Would With €3,850 Tax Free!!!! - Members are requested to continue supporting the Club Lotto which is a vital part of the funding of the Club’s continued development. The next Club Lotto draw will take place on Sunday in the Club Bar for a Tax Free Jackpot of €3,850 and the chance to win one of three “Lucky Dip” Prizes of €50.

There will also be two attendance prizes of a bottle of premium spirits and a bottle of premium wine to be won at the draw. Gaelic4Mothers&Others Blitz - On Saturday the 14th of October, we are hosting the annual Gaelic4Mothers&Others tournament. All pitches at the Club will be in use all day.

Club GPO - After over 12 years of dedicated service, we bid farewell to Paddy Gorey as Club GPO and we thank him for his efforts. Paddy will of course continue to be a club member. On the other hand we extend a “Céad Míle Fáilte” to David Sweeney who joins us as our new club GPO. David is a Laois man, a member of the Oliver Plunketts club and a top tier referee. We look forward to working with him.

Recent Death - We were all saddened by the sudden and untimely death of Gerry Tighe recently. Gerry was a mentor in our juvenile section for a number of years. We extend our sympathy to Gráinne, his son Glen and his daughter Fiona. May His Soul Rest in Eternal Peace.
