Well done to our under 17 ladies football team who won their Shield final after a mighty battle with frequent opponents St. Monica’s. This very young team is managed by Mick and Kathleen Colreavy and all concerned have put in a lot of hard work throughout the year.
Well done also to our senior camogie girls who had a 3 point win over Raheny in a vital championship game. This was their last game of the season and Tom, Padraic and the entire squad can be very happy with their achievements.
Our minor footballers travelled to Whitehall and came away with an impressive win to make it 3 wins on the trot in the championship. This team is ably led by Adrian Kavanagh, Mick Hoban and Ray O’Sullivan. The under 21 football championship commences shortly with our lads having an away fixture against Ballyboughal. A draft of the All Weather schedule will be available for inspection on the notice board later this week.
Congratulations to our former senior hurling manager David Kennedy and camogie and ladies football star who got married last week. We wish them a long and happy life together. We also send our best wishes to Niamh Cahill and Mick Hayden who got engaged recently.
The club is now offering a hurley repair service. All you have to do is leave your hurley in the bin provided outside the club shop. Put your mobile number on it (in the case of juveniles, this must be the number of a parent or guardian) and you will get a text when it is ready. The cost is €5. Great value.
Our Chairman’s dinner takes place on the 22nd November and tickets are available at the bar.
