October 2, 2018

Community Family Day – Our annual Community Family Day took place yesterday (Sunday 30 September) and it was a massive success. Many thanks to Dublin Airport for their generous sponsorship of the event.

Recent and Upcoming Games – Well done to our under 16 hurlers who have qualified for the championship semi-final after defeating Whitehall.

Despite a brave display which took the game to extra time, our senior footballers were beaten in the championship quarter final by a very strong Cuala side. Ours is a very young team and the lads will learn from this experience. Well done to all.

All roads lead to O’Toole Park at 12-30 next Sunday when our hurlers meet St. Brigid’s in the Junior A Hurling Championship semi-final. We need the support of everybody for this game.

LGFA Gaelic4Mothers & Others Blitz – Next Saturday (6 October) we are hosting the annual Gaelic4Mothers & Others ladies football tournament with our neighbours St Sylvester’s. We will need the usual helpers. Please contact coordinator Frank Lynch.

GAA Safeguarding Workshops – All members of the GAA who work with children and young people in the Association and who sit on GAA committees are required to complete the GAA Safeguarding Workshop. It is then recommended to complete a refresher course after 3 years.

The club is running Safeguarding courses and the next course is on this Wednesday (3 October) from 7.30 to 10 pm – Book a place on this course at https://coachzone.naomhmearnog.ie/event/7

This course is a mandatory requirement for anyone working with children or young people in the Association.

Club Lotto – The numbers drawn in this week’s Club Lotto were 4, 12, 18 and 26. There was no winner. The Jackpot is now €4,900.
