October 16, 2018

Recent and Upcoming Games – Our under 16 hurlers beat St. Brigid’s to qualify for the Shield final where they will play Commercials. The under 14 footballers beat Naomh Olaf in a crucial league game. It was a busy weekend for the girls also. Our senior camogie team drew with St. Vincent’s in the Shield Final while the under 15s defeated Round Towers to qualify for their Shield Final. Well done to all teams.

All roads lead to Parnell Park on Wednesday night where our adult hurlers take on St. Maur’s in the Junior A Championship Final at 7:30. We wish the lads the very best of luck and we urge all members to go along and support them.

Monday Night is Trad Night in the Club Bar – Every Monday night there is a Traditional Irish Music Session in the Club Bar from around 9:30 or so. The music is excellent and a wide spread of musical instruments are played by the 15 to 20 musicians that take part in the Session. All musicians and non-musicians are welcome and admission is free!

Club Lotto – The numbers drawn in this week’s Club Lotto were 9, 14, 16 and 17. There was no winner. The Jackpot is now €5,200. Play online athttps://www.locallotto.ie/play_newa.asp?ll_id=518&PC=0&RP=#Anchor or in the Club Bar. Please support this very important fundraiser for the future development of your Club.

Club AGM – It’s that time of the year again when our thoughts start to turn towards our AGM. This is the annual opportunity for all members to have their say on how the Club is run and by whom on and off the field. Motions for discussion or nominations for positions on the Club’s Executive Committee can be submitted to Club Secretary Adrian.

Ladies Football – We are still recruiting players for our adult ladies football team. If you are interested, please contact Cliodhna O’Connor.

Please be Careful Driving to and from the Club – The dark evenings are upon us and we ask all members to be careful and vigilant when driving in the Club’s car park and on the way in and out of the Club.

Naomh Mearnóg Nursery – The registration fees for the 2018/19 Nursery are now due. The cost of the Nursery membership is only €70 for one child and €80 for 2 or more children from the same family. As we are aligning the Nursery membership with our other membership the Nursery membership for 2018/19 covers the period from 1 September 2018 to 31 December 2019 (rather than to 30 June 2019 as has been the case up now). To register and pay for the Nursery please go tohttp://naomhmearnog.ie/club-information/membership/
