Club Notes

November 6, 2018

Our AGM takes place on Thursday the 6th of December at 8pm. Motions and nominations for the Executive committee must be with our secretary Adrian Kavanagh at least 21 days earlier. This is an important event and we request all full members to attend.

Our under 15 footballers came from 9 points down at half time to record an impressive win over Erin’s Isle. Well done lads this was a courageous performance. The same 2 teams meet in the under 15 hurling championship final next Sunday in St Peregrines. Support needed.

Our minor camogie girls got their championship campaign off to a good start with a win over Thomas Davis. Well done girls.

Our senior footballers finished their season with a win over Scoil Uí Connaill. Overall, it was a pretty decent year and we thank the squad and the management group for their efforts.

Our under 21 hurlers are in action at home next Saturday against Ballyboden in the championship. Having received a walkover in the first round this is our first game and we need support.

The under 11 ladies football group had an end of season get together on Sunday morning. Not surprisingly, the buns and cakes were just as popular as the football. We thank the players and their enthusiastic mentors for their efforts.

Once again we ask all mentors and players to be vigilant around the club. Ensure that dressing rooms, containers and cars are locked at all times. Be extremely careful when driving in and out of the club.
