Over 250 people enjoyed our Chairman’s Dinner on Saturday night. This was a wonderful occasion and great credit is due to the organising committee for all their hard work. Guest of honour was GAA President elect Aogán Ó Fearghail and we thank him for attending our annual celebration. Congratulations to all of our award winners. Each was a worthy recipient. They are, Sean Madden, Hall of Fame, Shane Carthy, Club Person of the Year, Siobhán and Andrew Crean Lynch Camogie, Anthony Brennan Ladies football. The late Con O’Sullivan received a posthumous award from our Juvenile committee.
Our senior footballers maintained their championship status with an impressive win over Trinity Gaels. This was their last game of the season and we thank the entire squad and the management management team for all their hard work. The minor camogie girls were also in fine form and had a good win over St. Judes. Our under 9 and 11 boys were also in action on Saturday morning despite the inclement weather. The playing season for all teams is gradually drawing to a finish. However, our minor and under 21 footballers are still involved at the business end of their respective championships. Keep an eye on the fixtures and make sure you support the lads.
Tickets are still available for the national club draw. You can get them from Eamonn in the bar or from any member of the committee and they cost €10. Any tickets purchased before the 19th of December will also be entered into the club Christmas draw.
If teams want to use the All Weather pitch outside of their scheduled times, please put your name on the Time Sheet on the notice board. Grass pitches remain very wet and we ask all mentors to exercise extreme care if using them.
Congratulations to Caitriona Power and Ciaran Mac Fhearghusa who get engaged recently.
