Govan Joliffe-Byrne Memorial Tournament - The 2nd annual Govan Jolliffe-Byrne U-13 football tournament will take place this Saturday (3 June) at Páirc Mearnóg. 16 teams from all over the country will be competing in this unique event, which will commence with the football in the morning and culminate with a camping experience for all involved on the night of the tournament on specially designated pitches. Please note that all club pitches will be occupied all day. The games begin at 11.30. All are welcome, so please come along.

Recent Games – Our senior footballers gained 2 valuable league points with a hard earned win over Fingal Ravens. Well done to our under 9 footballers who won the Shield Competition in the Kilmacud Crokes All Ireland football tournament. Despite losing by 4 points at half time, our under 15 hurlers put in a great second half performance to defeat Ballinteer by 4. Our under 13 and 16 hurlers drew. Our under 8 ladies football group were on their travels again and this time they were in Fingal Ravens where they won 5 out of 6 games.

Des Bishop and Friends Comedy Night on 8 June in the Clubhouse - Comedian Des Bishop appears in the Club with a few friends on Thursday 8 June. Tickets cost €25 and there are a limited number left at this stage and they are available in the Club Bar on a first come first served basis.

Support Your Club Bar - The big games in the All Ireland championship have started and we invite all members and friends to come along to the Cub and watch them on our big screens. The Bar now has “Grand Soft Day IPA” a craft beer from the Carrig Brewing Company in County Leitrim on tap.

Best Wishes - Good luck to Cian Hendricken and his under 21 hurling colleagues against Kilkenny on Wednesday night.

Charity Cycle - A number of our juvenile mentors are taking part in a very worthwhile charity cycle from Dublin to Westport in order to raise funds for specific equipment for Crumlin hospital. If you would like to help, please contact Stephen Rafter.

Two 4 Star Hotel Breaks Won in Annual Club Lotto Drive Draw – The two 4 Star Irish hotel breaks (two nights bed & breakfast and one evening meal for two people sharing) in the Diamond Coast Hotel in Enniscrone, County Sligo which included vouchers for steam and seaweed baths in Kilcullen’s Seaweed Baths were won in last night’s special Cub Lotto draw by Eilis Waters and R Halpin.
