Club Notes

March 9, 2015

Our Camogie section is holding it’s annual fundraising Quiz on Friday the 20th of March at 8pm. Tables of 4 cost €40. Fundraising is vital to the club and we request that all members support this event. If you require more details, please contact Donal Power.

We had wins at the weekend for our under 14 boys and our under 14 and 15 ladies football teams. The adult hurling leagues commence next weekend. Our seniors are away to Faughs on Saturday at 4.30 while the second team is at home to Castleknock on Sunday afternoon. Good luck to all concerned.

Congratulations to Caitriona Power who put in a fine performance for the Dublin camogie girls in their great 2 point victory over Clare. Well done also to Ciara Holland who scored 1.3 and Aoibhe Dillon who scored 2.4 for the Dublin under 16 camogie girls.

Thank you to Mickey Ned O’Sullivan for his wonderful coaching session at the club on Sunday afternoon. All mentors who attended will benefit enormously.

Due to the continuing bad weather, our pitches remain very soft and we ask all mentors to abide by the wishes of the Pitch Committee. No physical training on any of the playing areas.

Despite having been won recently, the club Lotto Jackpot remains at €10,000. Please support it. It could be your turn next.

All membership fees are now due and must be paid immediately.

We extend our sympathy to the Whelan family on the death of Sean’s brother Brendan. May His Soul Rest in Peace.
