Thank you to the organisers and to all who attended our Gala Ball on Saturday night, it was a huge success. Congratulations to Patsy Haran, Noel McKenna and Jack Hughes on on their “Long Service” awards.
All our teams are performing exceptionally well at the moment. The Senior footballers defeated Ballinteer while the Minor hurlers overcame Erin’s Isle. We had victories also for our under 13, 14 and 16 hurlers. The under 13 and 16 camogie girls kept the winning trend going also. The under 13s are now operating in Division 1 and remain unbeaten. Our very enthusiastic under 8s played their first away game of the season against Erin’s Isle.
Well done to Caitriona Power, Laura Twomey and Miriam Twomey who were on the Dublin camogie team that drew with Wexford. Congratulations to the Shane Carthy and the Dublin footballers and also to the hurlers who had impressive wins over the weekend.
Good luck to Ballyboden in the All Ireland final on Thursday.
Our hurlers are back in action next weekend with the Senior away on Sunday at 10 30 against Oliver Plunketts while our juniors are at home at 3 against Setanta. The minor footballers play Sylvester’s in a vital league game on Wednesday 16th at 6 45 in Parnells ground. Support needed.
The club Lotto is now €5050. The draw takes place each Sunday night in the bar. Please support.
A car was broken into in the club recently and we remind all players, mentors and visitors to ensure that cars are locked at all times and please never leave any property on display.
