Club Notes

March 13, 2017

Well done to our junior hurlers who got their league season off to a great start with a hard earned win at home over Thomas Davis.

Our under 16 boys football team travelled to St. Brigid’s and came away with 2 league points after a magical display.

Our girls had a busy weekend also with impressive wins for our under 14 and 15 camogie teams and our under 10 and 11 ladies football teams.

Congratulations to Ciara Holland and Aoibhe Dillon who were on the Dublin minor camogie team that defeated Tipperary in an absolute cracker of a game. Another win against Offally at home in a few weeks time will see them in the All Ireland semi final.

Our adult footballers are back in action next weekend with our seniors at home at 10-30am on Sunday morning against Ballinteer while our AFL 5 team is away at `12 against Craobh Ciaran. Our minor hurlers are at home against Isles of the Sea at 11.

The support level for all teams is disappointingly low. Can we try and improve this situation please.

We extend our sympathy to the DeLoughry family on the death of Peter. Peter and his family have a long association with the club. May His Soul Rest in Peace.

Don’t forget the Black + Amber plan. We need people to join the various groups. Contact Dave Killeen.

Good luck to Cuala in the All Ireland final on Friday. If you are not going to the game, why not come along and watch it on our big screens. Later in the evening we have music by Paddy’s Hill. Admission is free, so please come along
