Club Notes

June 7, 2017

Thank you to all who helped run our Govan Jolliffe-Byrne under 13 football tournament on Saturday. We had participating teams from the 4 provinces and it was a huge success. Congratulations to Claregalway who won the Shield competition and to our neighbours St. Pats, Donabate who won the Cup competition. Well done to our own team who topped their group winning all 3 games but were beaten in the semifinal by the eventual winners.

Our under 15 hurlers were in action and drew their game.

Good luck to all our young members who commence their Junior and Leaving Certificate exams this week. Remember all you can do is your best and that’s good enough.

Mini Leagues continue Wednesday and Friday this week

There are still a few tickets available from Eamonn in the bar for the Des Bishop concert.

Our Club Lotto Season has recommenced and we would like to thank Eileen Bernard and her team for all their hard work. Members are requested to continue supporting the Club Lotto. It is a vital facet of club revenue.

Our adult hurlers are back in action this week. On Wednesday evening at 7-30pm, we play St. Vincents away in the Inter championship. Then on Saturday evening at 6-30, we are at home to St.Peregrines in the league. On Thursday, our junior hurlers are away to Wild Geese in the championship and away on Sunday afternoon in the league to Raheny.

Well done to the Dublin footballers who cleared the first hurdle in their efforts to retain their Leinster title. It was great to see Cian Hendricken back in action for the under 21 hurlers on Wednesday night where he gave a good display.
