Club Notes

June 16, 2014

Congratulations to former club President Fr. Micheál Comer who celebrated the Golden Jubilee of his ordination recently.

Good luck also to Donal Waters former Vice Chairman of the club who retired recently from An Garda Siochána after many years of loyal service.

The annual Louise Fitzpatrick Big Picnic in aid of Barrettstown Castle takes place on Saturday at 1 pm in Malahide Castle. Please support this wonderful cause.

The new seasons Club Lotto is up and running. A sincere thank you to Eileen Bernard and all her collectors for continuing to drive this vital fundraiser.  The Lotto is by far the biggest fundraiser we have in the club and we need the support of all members and players each week.

Our very successful mini leagues concluded on Saturday. With over 300 boys and girls in attendance, the future for all our teams is very bright indeed. Thank you to all who made this event such a success. The activity continues with our Summer Camps commencing on the 7th of July. Contact Paddy Gorey for details.

Our AFL 5 team had a good league win during the week and they play again tonight (Tuesday) away to Erin’s Isle. Our senior hurlers are away to Setanta on Saturday evening while our AHL 7 team are away to St. Pats Donabate on Sunday afternoon.

Once again we remind all members and friends that we show all major sporting events on our big screens. Finger food is served.
