Club Notes

July 8, 2015

Our senior hurlers play Thomas Davis in the championship at home  tonight (Wednesday) at 7.30. The juniors  have a home championship date with Setanta on Thursday night also at 7 30. On Sunday morning the seniors have a vital league game at home against St. Sylvester’s while the juniors are away to Wild Geese. These are vital fixtures and we urge all players and members to support the lads.

Well done to our adult footballers who had a good week. The seniors defeated Naomh Baróg away while the juniors had a good win at home over O’Dwyers. This ensured vital league points for both teams. Our minor hurlers travelled to Thomas Davis and came back with the spoils. Well done lads.

Well done to club players Caitriona Power, Laura Twomey and Miriam Twomey who played for the Dublin senior camogie team over the weekend and to Cian Hendricken who put in a fine “shift” for the Dublin minor hurlers. Well done to the “Jackies” on reaching the Leinster final where they will face Westmeath in the Ladies football final.

Our very popular Summer Camps commence this week. Contact Paddy Gorey for details.

On Saturday we are hosting an Inter County Camogie Blitz. All club pitches will be in use from 10am until 4pm. All the usual helpers will be needed for car parking duty. Please be at the club at 8 30am.

We extend our sympathy to the Maguire family on the death of Colin. May His Soul Rest In Peace
