Club Notes

July 7, 2014

A very good week for our hurlers saw our seniors defeat Ballyboden in a vital league game and our juniors overcame Erin Go Bragh in the championship.

The minor footballers had an impressive win over St. Peter’s.

The Adult camogie girls kept the flag flying with a hard earned victory over St. Peregrines. Well done to all concerned.

This week, our senior footballers are at home on Wednesday night against Naomh Baróg and away to Skerries on Saturday. The juniors are at home on Sunday morning. The camogie girls are away tonight (Tuesday) to Parnells.

Congratulations to Colm and Aisling O’Driscoll on the birth of their daughter Niamh and to Aidan and Karen Kenny on the birth of their son Daniel.

Best wishes to the Naomh Mearnóg senior Ceili band who are competing in the Leinster final of Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann at the weekend. Thank you to all who were involved in our Music Summer Camp. It was a great success.

On Saturday, we are hosting an Inter county camogie Blitz. All of our pitches will be in use all day.

A sincere thank you to the organisers and supporters of our Annual Golf Classic. It was a great day.

All membership fees are now overdue and must be paid immediately.

Good luck to the “Jackies” who play Laois in the Leinster final on Sunday.

The club Lotto draw takes place each Sunday night in the bar. We urge all members to continue to support this very important part of our club fundraising efforts.

The annual SOCKS fundraising cycle takes place in September. Full details available next week.
