Last week the club and indeed the wider community suffered a great loss with the passing of Michael Walsh. A full tribute to Michael will be published on our website later in the week. We extend our sympathy to his wife Joan, his daughters Louise and Siobhan, his son Sean and his grand children Jamie, Marissa, Archie and Aoibheann. Match days in Heaven will never be the same again. May the Soul of Michael Rest in Eternal Peace.
Despite missing several players, our senior hurlers earned a valuable point with a draw against Whitehall. Our junior hurlers recorded 2 wins during the week and sit proudly on top of their league. Our minor footballers defeated neighbours Naomh Baróg by one point in a great game.
Thank you to all who organised the Camogie street leagues and to Jim Carroll for donating a trophy for the event.
Congratulations to the Dublin minor hurlers on winning the Leinster title and good luck to Cian Hendricken and his under 21 hurling colleagues in the final against Offaly on Wednesday night.
Well done to Ciara Holland who was part of the Dublin under 16 camogie team who defeated Limerick. They play Clare in the club next Sunday. Ciara is also a member of the Dublin under 16 ladies football team.
On Saturday we are hosting an Inter County camogie Blitz. All club pitches will be in use all day. Our senior footballers are in action awy against Parnells next Saturday evening. Please support.
