Club Notes

July 13, 2015

Thank you to all who helped out at the camogie Blitz on Saturday. With almost 40 teams, this was a major event and as usual it ran very smoothly. Well done to club players Sophie Brennan, Aoibheann Crean Lynch, Grainne Skelton, Claire McGowan and Leah Ford who represented Dublin in the tournament.

Well done also to Aoibhe Dillon, Sarah Brennan, Ciara Holland, Emma Ford and Lauren Delaney who were part of the Dublin Under 16 camogie squad at the weekend.

Our senior footballers are back in action on Saturday evening with a vital home game against Skerries at 6 30. Our AFL5 team is away on Sunday morning against St. Maurs.

Well done to our junior camogie team who have reached the cup semi final. Our opponents will be St. Finnians and the game takes place at home next Tuesday night (21st) at 7 30.

Support for our teams remains disappointingly low especially for home games. Come on folks get behind our teams, they deserve it.

It was a great week for our adult hurlers.

The seniors defeated Thomas Davis in the championship and St. Sylvesters in the league while the juniors overcame Setanta in the championship and Wild Geese in the league. Both teams have now reached the knockout stages of their championships with the juniors unbeaten in the league. Congratulations to all concerned.

Well done to the Dublin footballers on retaining the Leinster title and to the hurlers on reaching the quarter final.
