Club Notes

January 23, 2017

Well done to our senior footballers who retained their championship status with a well deserved win over O’Toole’s. The lads can now have a long break (probably 1 week) before preparation starts for the 2017 season.

Our opponents in the under 21 football final will be Erin’s Isle. Details of this fixture will be circulated when available.

Membership fees are now due and members can avail of an “Early Bird” incentive by paying before the end of January. Membership fees are the life blood of all clubs and we ask all members to pay up immediately.

Pitches are in fairly decent shape but are a little soft. All teams are asked to refrain from doing any physical training on playing surfaces. Thank you.

Next Sunday at 2pm, we host the Dublin Ladies football team in their first round league game against Monaghan. We wish the “Jackies” all the best for the year ahead.

Many teams organise friendlies at this time of the year. Please be aware that all friendly games must be approved in advance in writing by the County Board. Otherwise players are not covered by insurance.
