Over 200 people attended our AGM on Friday night. Outgoing chairman Michael Hannon was re-elected for another term. A lively and positive debate took place covering all areas of club activity with a major emphasis on coaching and the further development of our teams. A very positive development is the fact that several new people have joined our new committee. A full report on the meeting including a list of all officers elected will appear on the website later in the week.
Thank you to Fr. Gary Darby who celebrated our annual Mass on Saturday night and thank you to Dan and Margaret Linehan for organising the event. It was great to see so many young people involved in the celebration.
As a result of fixtures played elsewhere, our under 16 camogie girls were crowned league champions last weekend. The team remained unbeaten throughout the campaign and are ably coached by Colm Delaney, Damien Ford and Dave Dillon. Well done to all concerned.
On Sunday the 27th, the club is celebrating 40 years in existence with a function in the bar. Anyone who was involved in any way with the club over all those years along with their partners is invited to attend. This is guaranteed to be a very special event. So, please come along.
