Club Notes

December 21, 2015

On behalf of our chairman Michael Hannon, we wish all our members, our friends and the entire community a happy, holy and peaceful Christmas and the best of good luck in 2016.

Congratulations to Deirdre McLoughlin and Stevie McConnell who were married at the weekend. We wish them all the best in their married life.

Don’t forget that on St. Stephen’s Day we have our married V singles games with the hurling at 12 followed immediately by the football. All are welcome.

On Sunday the 27th we have our 40 year reunion in the bar. Anyone who was involved with the club in any capacity over the years is invited to come along. This is guaranteed to be a very special event, so please come along.

Local band “Loose Chippins” will help us ring in the new year on the 31st. You are all invited for a great nights entertainment.

Congratulations to Caitriona Power who was selected on the Dub Stars camogie team for their annual game.

The Blood Transfusion Service is always under pressure for supplies this time of the year. So, if you are a donor or would like to become one, why not go along to one of their clinics. You could save a life.

It may be Christmas but not everyone enters into the festive spirit. So please ensure that if you are using the club, that dressing rooms and cars are securely locked at all times. Never leave any property on display.

Many of you will be travelling over Christmas. Please be careful and return safely. We need all of you again next year.

We extend our sympathy to the Carroll family on the death of Jim’s brother Denis. May His Soul Rest in Peace.
