Club Notes

April 25, 2018

Driving to and from the Club Grounds – Members and visitors to the Club are asked to take extreme care while driving to and from the Club and to especially watch out for children playing on the way into and out of the Club through Torcaill and also on the Club’s car parks.

Recent Games – Congratulations to our AHL3 hurlers who remain unbeaten after a hard earned win over St. Brigids in the championship.

Well done to our Minor ladies football team who produced one of the greatest comebacks ever to overhaul a 16 point half time deficit to eventually defeat Lucan by 3 points in the league.

The young camogie girls continue to impress and we had wins for our under 14, 15 and 16 teams. The under 15s sit proudly on top of their league.

Despite being drawn in a tough group that produced eventual division winners Commercials, our Féile hurlers performed well on Saturday just failing on points difference to reach the semi-final. Thank you to coordinator Derek Redmond and to all who helped on the day. Well done to young club referee Faolain Radford who was chosen to referee the Div 1 Féile final.

Well done to Kathleen Colreavy and the Dublin ladies football team who have qualified for the league final.

Upcoming Games – Next weekend, we are hosting the Camogie Féile and we wish our girls all the best.

Our senior camogie team have 2 home league games this week on Tuesday and Thursday. Both games start at 7.

Our senior footballers play Naomh Olaf in O’Toole Park next Sunday at 2-30 pm in the championship. Please support all our teams.

Recent Death – We extend our sympathy to the Gorey family on the death of Clare’s father Sean O’Flynn. May Sean’s Soul Rest in Peace.

2018 Membership – Thank you to all of our members who have paid their 2018 membership. If you have not already paid your membership please do so as soon as possible. A strict “NO PAY NO PLAY” policy is now in force.

Members should also note that only fully paid up members of the Club will be able to avail of the facility to order tickets for Dublin senior football and hurling matches through the Club. Memberships can be paid online (see link below) or in the Club Bar.

If anyone is experiencing difficulties paying their membership please contact the Club’s Chairman Michael Hannon in strict confidence at 087 1205440.
