Club Notes

April 18, 2017

Congratulations to Partsy Haran who was recently appointed President of the club. Patsy is a Fermanagh man but has spent a large part of his life in Portmarnock where he has been an integral part of our club for many years. We wish him all the best.

Our minor ladies football team recorded an impressive win over Na Fianna while our Senior 5 camogie girls defeated CBC. Another busy week with some very important midweek games. Tonight (Tuesday) our Senior camogie girls are away to St. Vincents B at 6 45 and on Thursday our Senior footballers commence their championship campaign against St. Judes in Parnell Park at 6-45.

Well done to Tommy Kinnane who was part of the Dublin minor hurling squad that defeated Laois on Saturday. Tommy plays for the Dublin Under 17 team on Wednesday night and we wish him all the best. Well done also to Laura Walsh and Gráinne Power who are on the Dublin Premier junior camogie team who have qualified for the league final after defeating Clare.

We extend our sympathies to the Crean Lynch family on the death of Andrew’s father Andy and to the Phelan family on the death of John Phelan. John is the grandfather of adult hurler and footballer Mark. Go ndéana Dia trócaire ar a n-anamacha uasal.
