Well done to our Féile hurlers who reached the final only to lose to a very impressive Clontarf squad. The weekend started and finished with games against our seaside neighbours. On Saturday morning Clontarf beat us by 2 points in the first game. We then had successive victories over Ballinteer and Skerries. This meant we had to travel to Fingallians where we overcame Round Towers Clondalkin in the semi final after a mighty battle. The final on Sunday morning in Parnell Park was a rematch which Clontarf deservedly won and we congratulate them. A sincere thank you to all our mentors, sponsors, helpers, supporters and the squad themselves for a great effort.
Our under 8 boys enjoyed a very exciting day at the Blitz in Croke Park on Sunday. This was a wonderful idea by the GAA and something the young players will remember for a very long time.
Congratulations to our Junior A and B football teams who had very impressive wins in the first round of their respective championships. The Junior As defeated Ballyboden while the Junior Bs got the better of Ballyfermot.
Our camogie teams were in fine form this weekend also with victories for our Under 8, 10, 11,12 and 16 teams. Well done to Aoibhe Dillon, Laura Walsh and Gráinne Power who were all part of the Dublin Intermediate squad that defeated Carlow in the play off.
