Club Notes

March 20, 2018

Upcoming Games - Weather permitting, our adult footballers are back in league action on Sunday. Our seniors play Round Towers Clondalkin at 10 while our AFL 6 team play Innisfails at 12. Both games are at home.

St Patrick’s Day Party - Thank you to the organisers of the St. Patrick’s Day activities in the Club. It was a great success and was enjoyed by young and old. It was great to see the clubhouse packed and it would be nice to see this on a more regular basis.

2018 Membership - Many thanks to all of our members who have already paid their 2018 membership fees. If you have not already paid your membership please do so as soon as possible.

Please note that a strict “NO PAY NO PLAY” policy comes into force from 1 April. Members should also note that only fully paid up members of the Club will be able to avail of the facility to order tickets for Dublin senior football and hurling matches through the Club. Memberships can be paid online (see link below) or in the Club Bar. If anyone is experiencing difficulties paying their membership please contact the Club’s Chairman Michael Hannon in strict confidence at 087 1205440. If paying online there is an option to pay membership in 3 monthly instalments.

Online Petition – Alternative Weekend Fixtures for Camogie and Ladies Gaelic Football to Protect Dual Players - From under 14 onwards Girls, who play Gaelic football and Camogie in Dublin, are expected to play matches in both codes each weekend. In contrast the Boys play 1 match each weekend alternating between hurling and football. An online petition has been set up to request that the Dublin LGFA and Camogie Governing Bodies get together to copy the boys model and have alternative weekends for Camogie and Ladies Gaelic Football.
