Last Thursday, 18th April, Portmarnock Senior Men had a great outing. We were blessed with the weather. Our group breakfasted in Glencree Centre for Peace & Reconcilliation which promotes peace within and between communities. We then headed to God’s Cottage in Derrybawn, Glendalough, where we were treated to a demonstration of Irish working sheepdogs. After that we visited Wicklow Gaol, which was an interactive journey through two centuries of prison life. We finished off the day in Rathnew, where we had a beautiful meal in Hunter’s Hotel Restaurant. It is an 18th century lodge set in two acres of gardens and renowned for its hospitality and good food. Great to see senior men coming together for comradery and joviality. We are proud and privileged to have been supported by Dublin Airport Community Fund.
