Juvenile Camogie Round up.

U8s:

U8s had their first ever outing on Sunday last against Erin’s Isle & Clanna Gael. And these debutantes had an absolute ball! With great spirit they won four from four with our own players defending against us when we were drafted in to boost the opposition’s numbers. Great support from parents at the expense of the Mother’s Day lie-ins. Next outing is a home match against Good Counsel & Clanna Gael on the 9th of April.

U9s:

Bingo! All the 9’s! 9 wins from 9 games for the U9s against Clontarf on Sunday last. Great stuff girls!

U10s:

Our featured photo this week shows the girls with “Hands up” for Whelan Building Contractors, new sponsors of the U10 Camogie team! The Dubs were not the only team to make history this weekend as our U10 girls remain unbeaten since their inception as U8′S. Eighteen girls turned up for a go games blitz in Donnycarney on a balmy Saturday afternoon. After comfortable wins over O’Tooles & Parnells our two teams ploughed head on into games against two strong Craobh Chiaráin teams who provided a tough challenge. Both NM teams came through with 2-1 and 2-0 wins.

Already looking forward to our next Challenge on the 8th April against Barrogs and Skerries Harps.

U11s:

The U11′s were victorious today in their 4 games at home to Whitehall last Sunday morning.  The Mearnóg girls were on it from the get go showing very cohesive form; from the passing to the striking and shots on target they showed skill and vigour throughout… all looking forward to the next outing in 2 weeks time! This team is also sponsored by Whelan Building Contractors, and the girls shone brightly on a sunny Sunday in their new jersies!

U12s:

Our U12s were at home to Judes (x 2 teams) and Parnells on Saturday. The girls took their lead from the beautiful Spring afternoon with a Blooming great series of displays!

U14s:

Our u14s are unbeaten in the league. They continued with that form with a one point home win against Faughs on Saturday afternoon last. Heart stopping stuff, girls!

Well done to all our Camogie girls this week!
