Croke Park Crackers!

Our u12 camogie girls did the club proud in Croke Park today. They played in the annual Camán to Croker country wide tournament this morning in the hallowed Jones Road venue. 64 u12 camogie teams from all over the country participated in the day long event.

Our girls were drawn in a 4 team group which include the famed Buffer’s Alley (Wexford), St Brigid’s (Laois), and Dunderry (Meath). The girls had a ball, winning two out of their 3 matches.

For the record the lucky girls who lined out today were as follows:

Nicole Healy, Robyn Callery, Kate Mooney, Kate McCarthy, Amy Gleeson, Alana Carr, Sophie Kehoe, Emma Kavanagh, Eloise Irwin, Abigail Sex, Alannah Foran, Lisa Hughes, Sophie Twiss, Keya Crosbie, Orlaith McGarry, Orlaith Kiernan.

Coaches: Eamon Crosbie, Larry Kavanagh and Melissa Irwin.

And a special mention for Amy Kavanagh who completed the picture for the club by refereeing some of today’s matches. She’s pictured above with her sister Emma who played today for the u12’s and her dad Larry.

A special day for a special group! Well done, girls!
