U12 Girls blow Parnells away!

Posted March 30, 2015

The girls played Parnells in poor conditions with a cold wind raging up the pitch. High balls were stopping dead in the air and coming back to the place they were kicked out from!

We played against the wind in the first half and the girls battled strongly to go into the second half down 2-7 to 2-2. Of special mention Robyn tucked away a penalty that Diarmuid Connolly would have been proud to claim!

We played into the wind in the second half and ran out victorious 3-10 to 6-7 with no fewer than 7 of our players getting on the score sheet. Aoife deserves special mention for her Jack McCaffrey style goal storming up from defence to lob the ball over the keepers head! The girls showed great team spirit and played great football!
